Strategy Guide - Myst IV Revelation
So - if there is a Prima guide within the Myst IV game -- why would you buy the
guide. The pictures are better and the story is filled out. Most of us play the game for the
adventure. When Myst first came out - I bought and read all the Myst books
-- Myst - The Book of Atrus, Myst - The Book of D'ni and Myst - The Book of
Tu'ana by Rand and Robyn Miller and David Wingrove. The stories are different and
touch the game only intermittently. Nevertheless, reading fills out the game and adds
depth to the characters.
That is exactly what strategy guides do. The guide constructs the story as though you the explorer
were writing the diary. There are excerpts from the DRC -- the D'ni Reconstruction Council,
adding additional explanations, theories and history. Original sketches provide views into
the artists' process in creating the worlds.
