Family Game Show - Review

Family Game Show
Rating: E-10+ - Everyone 10+

While game shows on TV gain much from the personality of the host, on consoles the variety and quality of the questions are more important. Can everyone play - different ages and skills; are the categories broad enough - not only about vampires or umpires. Family Game Show fulfills these requirements. While the three hosts look and speak like ventriloquist dummies - the three categories and questions are varied enough to let everyone play.

Single player has the choice of Easy, Medium or Hard. The difference in difficulty seems to be more in time limits than questions. No Mensa levels here. Multi players - two to four players get to choose "Classic" for players of like ages or "Generations" for players of different ages. Age groups are 0-8, 9-12, 13-17 and 18+.

The game should make good family fare with its assortment of questions and the ability to customize the levels of difficulty to individual players.

Fun Factor: Pretty good family quiz game
Female Factor: Only in choice of contestant
Player Friendly: Clear manual
